In this world, there have been billions of religions for a religion at it’s core is what you believe matters most. Everyone has a religion whether they believe in a diety or not. The thing you value the most, you worship. That’s what you strive for. You wake up in the morning, get your affairs in order and eventually you go,”Lets try and make moves in life to achieve my goal X because X matters most to me.” That is your religion.
Some people’s religion is simply seeking sex. Other people’s religion is slightly more noble,”I want to get married to be complete.” Others pursue academia with a laser focus and they make intelligence and education their religion. Other people want power so they can achieve their whims easier. Another might think chasing after control of other people makes for a great religion to bend them to your will. Many people make the chase for money their religion with their bank account being the score card,and simple things like inflation/deflation confuse their notion of reality. Other people want to always be improving their house, their yard, their fashion, their furniture the place around them and think that is their religion. Other people chase after beauty, not caring about money, paying money for cosmetics and cosmetic surgeries. Some think fitness and personal health triumphs over all and this is their religion. What matters most to you is your religion. A religion does not require a diety of figure head or worship for you’re always worshiping something when you make it more important than others.
There’s a near infinite number of religions one can design as they’re personal in nature and do not have to be popular or well regarded by many. Most religions when put head to head cannot exist. If one religion says fame is most important, and another says animal rights is most important, instantly there’s a conflict. If one religion says there’s only 7 gods and another says there’s distinctly 42 gods, they’re in conflict, and logically cannot even exist. Academia disproved a large part of the multi-god pantheon polytheism religions for the simple reason, many of those gods had power to end reality and destroy all their enemies instantly. Most multi-god wars would not be waged from the beginning to end of time, but would be over in an instant. There are many religions which are self contradictory and hypocritical in their own sphere. Logistically speaking, many religions are simply logically and impossibly wrong. When looked at the lens against the billions of all other religions, the most two likely events are that all religions are wrong or just one religion is right. At this point the cynic like to say,”Well they must all be wrong, look, most are wrong, so the odds of one being right must be infinitely low.” He forgets that in math questions, there’s also an infinite number of wrong answers, but commonly one right answer.
The right answer, and you already knew this is that love is the most important thing in life. Many religions raise love to the highest, but then they muddy the water by not getting what is love right. So what is love? Baby don’t hurt me. Sorry for the pun. Please don’t be a pun punisher. No really, how do you love the best? Let’s think on this one, and delve on it. Love matters more than anything even education so lets get an education on love.
The first thing about love is that you want what is best for the other person. So you never want to hurt them. That’s key, and we all know it. Don’t walk up to your friends and throw a strong punch, or key their car, or put a bag of flaming poop on their door step then knock on their door. That’s not what friends do, at least not good friends. Don’t physically, emotionally, or socially hurt people you love. Do not hurt other people if you love them.
People like to eat. People like to eat good food especially. One way to love someone is to provide them food. Now everyone likes different food. If you train your young daughter to love others by providing em food, they may buy an ice cream cone. They walk up to a stranger,”Have ice cream cone.” and the stranger says,”Oh, I just ate. I can’t eat that.” She may barely understand and go to another person,”Have Ice Cream?” and they might go,”Oh, doctor says I can’t eat sugar anymore. I’m diabetic” Now your daughter may be confused… She wants to be nice to others, but they don’t want her help, since loving each person is different. In general, people like to eat so providing them good food they like can be appreciated.
People like their time. We live in a busy world. If you stop someone on the street to talk with them about anything, not just religion, you’re wasting their time. They can be upset you wasted their time to talk to them and think negatively instead of positively on your message. Now if you come up to someone’s house and go,”Hey, mind if I clean your sticks, weeds and leaves out of your yard for free?” Many people will be thankful. Many will even offer you money for sacrificing your time to give them more time. Many will be happy to talk and meet you, and they receptively positively accept the things you say.
People like their health. If they’re sick and you can heal them, they like this. Many people study to be doctors or nurses just to help others’ health. This is a good thing. You can learn about first aid even online lectures and video courses. You can learn the systems of the body, study what medications interact with others. If you’re not scientifically minded, you can get in trouble online with conflicting medical advice, but more and more people are getting rudimentary medical knowledge and this is more or less helping others. To cure people, or even better to help their lifestyle become better so they won’t need cured, this is to love them.
People like self esteem. People don’t like to be ashamed. Publically shaming people is a cloud that hangs on people. Things like racism, sexism, ageism are hateful and evil because they make people feel less confident. We were mostly over those until CNN and the news media tried to push they were in vogue again. Most people love everyone, but when the news says everyone hates everyone and you should be fearful, then if you believe that lie, suddenly to you, it is something you worry about and looms in your mind like a prison. You gotta be out there freeing people from their mind prison and loving everyone. Tell people when they did a good job. Tell people they’re respectable. Don’t let people wallow in shame and give up on life.
There are many ways to love people, but not hurting them, feeding them, valuing their time, helping their health and self esteem are big ones. If you look through all of human history, not a single person but Jesus has done all of these loving acts. Jesus never hurt anyone. Jesus fed many people fish and loaves. Jesus healed many people. People liked spending time with Jesus so he valued their time. Jesus took the most shamed people and made them people of honor. Compared to Jesus, not a single person who ever lived except Jesus has never hurt someone if they lived a life to adulthood. Invariably we all sin, we mess up, we make mistakes and do things that are not loving, but Jesus embodied love. Jesus was the most loving person who ever lived or ever could be. We know in our soul that treating others right is best, that love is the most important thing. So when we know Jesus is the most loving person who ever lived, he would be a good one to take advice about how to be loving.
We all worship something. What matters most in your life? If you do not value helping and loving others as the most important thing, your religion is a worship of an idol, something that is not good. Scientists and philosophers alike know to change their actions when they’ve been presented with more knowledge. It’s good to change your path if it is going to the wrong destination, we do this often with our Global Positioning Systems in our car. If we get off track, it helps us try and get back on track. If you want something more than helping and loving your fellow humanity, you’re going in the wrong direction. I’ll tell you Jesus has great power to do anything, so worry a little less about your own needs and focus on helping others and he’ll supply you. In fact one message of Jesus is that you’re always helping others, Jesus will help you better than if you’re always just helping yourself. So there is no room in this short life for greed or selfishness… Even if you’ve gone wrong all your life, you can easily turn direction and be blessed. See Jesus came to forgive even the most foul of evil people. And above and beyond the blessings Jesus sends supernatural, it just feels good to be good and help people.
It is my prayer today,”Realize friends are worth more than they toys they have to play with. Love people even if they’re not your friends. Love people even if they have no toys to play with and nothing to give you back. Love them especially if they seem unlovable since others probably aren’t loving them either. The greatest thing Jesus can call you is ‘friend’, so be good and loving to all. To love someone is no guarantee they’ll love you back. Love them anyway. Jesus sees everything and wants us to even love our enemy. We all know that love matters more than anything, so let us worship love above all else, and Jesus will supply us with the other things for he does like us enjoy life in a full manner and gave us our desires. Why would Jesus not supply your desires when he gave them to you? The father of our faith Abraham has a wife so incredibly attractive that even kings wanted her. Abraham’s wife Sarah was the most attractive woman in thousands of miles, maybe the entire Earth. God granted her to Abraham since Abraham valued love, honesty and fairness to others above all. Solomon had 700 princesses as wives+300 concubines, honor, prestige, and peace in his kingdom because he valued governing people people for their benefit over his. So always be helping and loving others even if people did you wrong in the past like being bullied, help humanity anyway even if humanity has always been jerks to you. It’s tough to love when hated, but hate does not drive out hate. Only love drives out hate, so be a champion for the cause of love and be like Jesus to love all those around you. You might not know it yet, there is power in love. Worshiping love has the only deity there is in any religion and you will be blessed for serving and helping your fellow man and woman with a willing heart. And yes, God does want us to be kind to animals too when we can. “
