We are all spirit beings. Many of us do not realize we are more than flesh and blood but also composed of spirits. Since many of us are blind to the spirit realm and don’t believe in God, then it seems like there is no harm in diving into crazy fantasies and considering spirit beings who don’t exist. Remember though: God is real, and we are all spirit beings. Even our very wants and desires are prayers. Our good wants and desires are prayers to God. Our evil wants and desires are in large part thankfully unanswered.
So the current event thing in recent memory was the priest who said Harry Potter teaches real spells. He got made fun of a lot. I didn’t follow the whole thing, but our wants and desires are very much prayers. If you want want want something, God hears. If it is in his will, it will happen. I can’t tell you the hundreds of times when as a shy kid, I want want wanted someone to talk to me about some random subject, and they approached me and did. Perchance it is body language. Perchance it was a subject likely to be talked about. But I do this as an adult of wanting people to talk to me about a certain thing and they come up and do. Our wants are medium grade prayers.
So if you read about a spell in a fantasy book, but actually actualize it and desire it, you are really calling God or the devil to try and actualize it. If you’re not praying to God, but going to a foreign spirit instead, it is sin. God will listen and consider a wide range of petitions. Never think you should go to a spirit other than God for that is idolatry and how you can cause trouble upon yourself.
Maybe a dude thinks it would be great to not marry and just sleep with as many girls as he could with no consequences. If he ‘want want wants’ that, it is a prayer, and God isn’t gonna answer it because it is hateful, so he’s in league with the devil then. God actually will more than answer prayers for your sex life if you call to him. In fact, he can make your marriage bedroom into supernatural unimaginable experiences. Pray before sex. Save sex for marriage, and anything is possible. God can bless your kids when you do it right.
We all know this evil dude who wants to have a bunch of sex to women he doesn’t love is not passing blessings on to his kids. He isn’t even gonna be there for them. Go with God! Pray positive things, not negative things. Don’t even be ashamed. If you have no spouse yet, pray for their mind, body, and spirit. Yes, you can even pray over your future spouse’s body if you want. You’re allowed to. Keep everything in goodness and love. The evil prayer to the devil to sleep around with as many girls as you can without even loving them will do you no good.
So if you’re at a Halloween party and start a witches cauldron thing as a joke because you don’t think any of that is real, the curses you call upon others actually could be executed. Again, before God let me know he is real, I used to think any fantasy of ancient false gods, demons, genies, or whatever have you was cool to read about. If it isn’t real, no foul is being done. Well, not all that stuff is real, but it offends God when you abandon your Well of True Power in him and dig cracked cisterns in idols. So while you don’t think a witches cauldron curse upon your ex for him to become fat, broke and have embarrassing impotence problems is of any consequence… you just said a legit prayer to the devil. We should live in love and forgiveness instead of hate and grudges. The Bible teaches that those who like to curse will turn it around and become cursed themselves.
He cursed as naturally as he dressed himself; may his own curses soak into his body like water and into his bones like oil! Psalm 109:18 (GNT).
Instead of being bitter about an old relationship, forgive. Instead of cursing people who mistreated you, pray for them. If they’re truly a scoundrel, pray they find Jesus and then become a saint. Then they won’t be mistreating others. If it was someone you loved and still loved because of odd complications, pray they do well in their life maybe even their love life. It is better to wish your ex to be in better shape, wealthy and have enhanced ability in bed than the previous curse above. Remember, those who love to curse can become cursed. The opposite is true too. Those who love to bless can become blessed.

Maybe people think evil spirits and the devil sound alluring because they think God is a prude. They are too ashamed to pray for blessings on their sex life, so they think that is something to go to evil spirits. So to some Halloween seems liberating, when it is just enslaving. Pray to God about ANYTHING you want.
Growing up as a teenager, I prayed for a girlfriend of a specific body type, who was kind, and played video games. My very first girlfriend, I talked and shared media online for a year before I even knew what she looked like. She sent me a picture, but it was very humble and she looked nothing like what she did in real life. I visited her because, “Why not, it is good to be friends. 99.999% nothing will come of this.” She lived 600 miles away and I drove my old rusty 1972 Nova to her house in 1998ish. Praise God! Hallelujah! She was literally the most attractive girl I ever saw in my entire life with the body type I wanted, and she was kind and loved video games! That was exactly my prayer that I forgot of by then! That only happens through God. She was my girlfriend for many years before some random dude ninja proposed to her and married her.
People don’t get that you can go to God for anything. Above, I prayed my girlfriend years before to have a certain body type. God answered that prayer. There isn’t anything wrong with liking this or that body type. God put those desires in you. Society tries to shame beauty because they equate it with the sin of viewing porn, but beauty is fine in a marriage. Beauty is to be admired and God to be thanked for. Some are raised wrong and think there is something wrong with beauty. You can pray about anything about your body or your future spouse’s body. He may say, “Yes”, “No”, “Not Yet”, or even, “I’ll do you one better.” Thank and Praise the Great Potter Jehovah for giving us bodies now and a new glorious body when Jesus returns. The sin becomes when you do not glorify God, but instead, think you need to escape God to foreign spirits for sexual prayers. Ask God for anything! Do not sin by going to idols for you think God would not entertain your prayer.
Aside: I remember when I was 11 praying to get 6′ tall as soon as possible, but I don’t need to grow past that. I had a growth spurt and was a 6′ tall 12-year-old. I was the second tallest dude in my class and never grew higher since. God does change your body with prayer, but be very careful what you pray for, you just might get it!
If you go to idols or evil spirits such as the devil, this can get you extremely cursed instead. Go to God about ANYTHING on your mind that you like and want, just have a spirit of goodness and love. If you ever pray anything selfish, let God know your prayers for the poor, sick and hurting are infinitely more important. Praying selfishly is more than acceptable. Like I said above, I had selfish prayers answered before. Once God even demanded of me to pray selfishly. The only sin is when you think prayer is so selfish that you think you should go to spiritual powers other than God. Remember the God of Love is the God of Lovemaking. To go to fake foreign gods or the devil is akin to being faithless to your spouse, but way worse. To go to fake gods or the devil is to be faithless to God!
So do not think Halloween is liberating, but it is enslaving. When you do hateful stuff like call curses on others, want to dominate others by Earthly power structures, or want to sleep around with many people, you are praying to the devil. Sin might feel good at first, but it grips you and won’t let you go until you pay with partial or even complete death of your soul. My first dog died to drinking antifreeze. Antifreeze is sweet to dogs, so they lap it up! Yet it kills them! Sin is the same way!
For sin pays its wage-death; but God’s free gift is eternal life in union with Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23 (GNT).
This whole article is a reminder that the spirit realm is indeed real. It is linked to mind, body, senses, and soul. You can change anything you want in life if God signs off on it. Pray about everything you want, especially selfless prayers for world hunger to go away and sick people cured. You literally bend reality like a superpower through prayer if God wills it. I had many many prayers bend the fabric of reality. If you embrace your role as a spiritual warrior for the cause of Goodness and Love, you become almost like a superhero. Your power is that you can do anything if God wills it. It is like Green Lantern who wills physical objects into existence, except you’re not limited by just objects. You can change the mental, physical, spiritual, weather, anything!
In addition to once again reminding everyone that God is real, I want to let you feel liberated in your prayers to God. Never think something that is loving or neutral is something off limits to pray about. Never think, “Oh God won’t give me this or that, so I’ll ask foreign spirits about it.” NO NO NO! Never go to a foreign power that is not God. That is idolatry and breaks the first and second commandments. Nothing makes God so angry as going to astrologers, psychics, mediums or Halloween seances and witches brews for some desire he planted in your heart. Want an awesome marriage? Pray to God about it. Want an awesome spouse? Pray to God everything you want your spouse to have: Mind, body, spirit, hobbies, etc. Yes, you can pray about your future spouse having a bodacious bod! Just you yourself put in the 1-2 hrs of exercise in a day too. Money is not the way to attract a spouse. Heart, mind, and spirit is the way to attract an awesome spouse. And you keep your spirit right by keeping close to God, and not running off to foreign spirits.
Pray about some stuff now. Pray about anything you want. Live a selfless life, living frugally to help the poor. Work hard to help the poor. Don’t think you need to build an empire of wealth to attract a spouse. Build your body in exercise and prayer, and selflessly give of your time and money to the poor. God is a God of miracles. Pray for inconceivable miracles to happen while having a heart for love, and often miracles will happen.
