A collection of miracles experienced by Jim III

#1 Butterfly miracle
Once I was in my mom’s driveway. I prayed to pick up a butterfly and it did not fly away. So I reached over, picked it up.  My mom was amazed.  I was happy. I lifted my hand up vigorously to have it fly away. It stayed attached.  I figured the guy wanted to hold on. So I did it again and he flew away. God sends many miracles my way.  I have an idea why God sends so many my way….
If you do not obey the law, God will find your prayers too hateful to hear. Proverbs 28:9 (GNT).
So let’s think of the classic question: Two fan bases are praying their team wins a game, who wins?  An atheist will think this is a gotcha question, but it isn’t.  The side with the righteousness on their side will get the prayer honors.
Let me explain, “Let’s say some people want to win to make money on gambling bets, and the other side is cheering based on pure motives.”  The side with the more pure motives would get the honors.  We as people can’t tell all the mix of skill, cheering, motives and prayers, but God got it all together.
If that seems quite silly to think about, let’s think about it in a more raw aspect: Two nations fighting each other in battle.  If we know the Bible, we remember the classic Israelites vs the Philistines.  Today Israel still fights the Palestinians who get their name from the Philistines. Back in the day, the Israelites prayed to the Good God of Love.  Meanwhile, the Philistines prayed to some imaginary god of battle.
On top of praying to gods of battles and such, the Philistines also trained all their life for battle and warred any weak nation around them. What the Philistines didn’t know is that Israel’s God of love is also the God of Battle. He’s the God of the Mountains and Hills and Plains and Oceans. The Israelite God is the God of everything!  There is none beside him.  He is the Lord of All!  And thankfully so, he is good and loving!  This is important because I would not want to live forever if the guy in charge wasn’t good and loving.
Anyway, I’m all in for God.  And I think he appreciates that.  He sends me many miracles. And I have satisfaction serving him.  Some of these miracles some may call as coincidences.  But if you know how God works, you can tell they are his acts.
#2 Baptism Miracle:
August 11, 2005: A guy I know Shawn had a kidney transplant from a very short in stature guy named Ed.   But it doesn’t matter how short you are, if you give a kidney, you’re a spiritual giant with such a great heart that God will likely give you an amazing body in Heaven.  Shawn was a friend of a friend.   The day I heard of his baptism, was the day I was sending out mass emails about Jesus.  It wasn’t spam because I wasn’t selling anything.  I was just trying to get the word out to everyone I could. Well, you need to use a word to search for emails to mass mail.  The word I was using that day, as I incrementally went through a dictionary happened to be: Baptism
#3 The Good News Miracle thought back on
Jun 18, 2008:  My first fear ever was as a kid going to an amusement park.  We drove over a large bridge and I was concerned the people who built it might not have done a good job.  “What if it collapses?”, I thought.  My parents assured me everything was okay.  When God spoke to me, “Good News” in August 2003, it was on a bridge.  God doesn’t want us fearing.
#4 My beloved dachshund
May 21, 2016: I was thinking about my pupper dog I remember when I was young.  He was a dachshund.  I miss him and he was my first experience with death.  For when he died, I didn’t understand for a while that he would not be back. Anyway, as we think back to lost pets, we do get sad.  I feel we can meet them again someday and they will talk with us. Anyway right after I was thinking of him, my cousin’s dog came to be petted.  And the commercial on tv was a Heinz commercial about dachshunds in hotdog costumes all running to be hugged.  God uses everything.  He cares about us.
18 I decided that God is testing us, to show us that we are no better than animals. 19 After all, the same fate awaits human beings and animals alike. One dies just like the other. They are the same kind of creature. A human being is no better off than an animal, because life has no meaning for either. 20 They are both going to the same place—the dust. They both came from it; they will both go back to it. 21 How can anyone be sure that the human spirit goes upward while an animal’s spirit goes down into the ground?
Ecclesiastes 3:18-21 (GNT).
#5 Desperation
July 15, 2016: I was thinking how it is desperation to plead to others about Jesus.  I remembered when I was young & dating advice that I got was, “Don’t be desperate.”  And that is good advice.  Wait for someone you love.  But when we tell people about Jesus, we need to put ourselves out there with all we got desperately and often people insult us.  So it is outside my comfort zone to do that.  I turned on the radio which I shut off because it sounded so desperate before. When the radio came on the song was, “I’m so desperate for you God.”
#6 The Right Words
November 6, 2016: An atheist asked on Reddit: How would you react if there was undeniable proof that the universe came to be without the need for God’s hand?”
I was given a reply, “Wow! God didn’t even need to use his hands to make the universe! ;)”
#7 Spiritual Growth
Feb 12,2017: The sermon at church was on spiritual growth.  The very night before, I wrote on Reddit about spiritual growth.
#8 Satisfaction
March 28, 2017: I was working on Battlemon ( www.reddit.com/r/battlemon ).  It is a game like Pokemon Go, I had planned many years before Pokemon Go came out. Basically, I didn’t make it initially because if I got sued, I did not have enough money to defend lawsuits.  So I waited for a big player to make a GPS game, pave the way legally.  Now I am making my competitor.  I wished though, “Imagine if this game was done right now. I would be satisfied.”
I got called by my mom to do something minor for a minute or two and she gives me pizza and fruit drink.  So I make out like a bandit for a few minutes of work.  I finish my part I am on with code and as I get more fruit drink, the radio says, “You will be satisfied.” -A divine appointment.  Thank you, God.
#9 Question everything?
May 27, 2017: A little before 1:30 pm
I was tweeting about God as I often do.  My theory is if you say nice things about God and others hear it, their faith may improve.
One person I follow @NTC2012 tweeted:
It is okay to question! Question everything
I responded:
Can we question the statement: Question everything?
Just havin’ fun man.
Soon after, In another post about NASA, I was talking about praying for the James Webb Telescope.
Someone said, ‘Science isn’t a religion dude’
His name was: ?everything

I replied, “It is perfectly acceptable to pray for better science and technology.  You’re just missing the knowledge that God is real, I was there once.

#10 Prayer to find my banking information
July 30, 2017: I lost my banking information.  I prayed I could find it.  Then I dropped my credit card in my car that very moment.  It landed between the seats.  And there was the banking information I was searching for.
If you follow Jesus…  If you read the Bible… If you pray…  If you die to selfishness… If you live for goodness and love… If you try and help and encourage everyone… God delights in your obedience.  You can walk with him with the righteousness of Moses. And he will very likely send you lots of miracles.  Some may not get many as a test from the enemy, but no matter what, always live in love and goodness through Jesus.  As you cling to God even in troubled times, the enemy gets cleaved.  We win some battles for good and lose some, but God has already won the war with Jesus on the cross. That was the ultimate expression of love. God loves you more than you know even if you know this! Jesus is LORD! Amen.
