Remember, you are an eternal being. Everything you say and do will be remembered forever. Yes, Jesus forgives your mistakes and slip ups, but why make them at all knowing you’ll live forever? Knowing this we should proceed with intelligence and wisdom throwing away foolishness. Everything you like, take pleasure in, find beautiful or see awe and majesty in this life is dull compared to the coming glory of the future New Earth and New Heavens. God is quite more creative, loving, and generous than you know even if you know this. It’s more than just being good so we see our fallen loved ones, it’s an eternal joyous party exceeding anything we could hope for down on this fallen dog eat dog world. Scientifically God is even provable too, but not in the ways traditional science has approached it with faulty assumptions. Science properly debunked statistically people who claimed to have power to predict the future: psychics, fortune tellers, mystics, and magicians. They then mistakenly thought they could apply this to God and prayer thinking that if they can’t get God to act the same way for them each time experimentally then God can’t exist. The problem with this approach is that it assumes God’s hand can be forced and even predictably by man. The true scientific proof of God takes quite a bit more intelligence to understand(probably why. It starts with realizing that you can’t disregard every rare event as a coincidence. I have not met ruse so dull that they would think a man who hit the Powerball lottery 5 times in a row could be attributed to mere coincidence and not something else going on behind the scene. I’m glad to help people understand that yes, at a certain point, due to Occam’s Razor coincidence is no longer a wise option. I can get people that far, but it actually requires a more advanced mathematical and Order of Magnitude statistical mind to actually calculate and quantify the odds of answered prayer. Since people for the longest time got tripped up on the easier former ‘everything can be written off by chance’, then it’s much more difficult to teach the later except to scientifically educated minds. Thankfully you do not need to be a scientist to have a friendship with God, it just makes it easier to prove his existence to others. I tell people,”Start praying a lot even if you don’t believe in God. Pray for others. Pray for yourself. God is more powerful than a genie, and genies ain’t real, so never go to a power other than love for your prayer, but have the freedom to pray for anything. In these prayers, you’re allowed to pray for very specific things for the sake of them being specific and making the odds of the miracle happening less. In the Bible, God quite literally makes battles seem more and more impossible just to stress this ‘against all odds’ proof of his acting and his power. Then when a bunch of miracles you prayed for against all odds happens, boom, you know God’s real.” I say this with one caveat that you must be aware of: The devil is real and he wants our destruction and not everyone gets the same gifts from God. There could be an outlier where they don’t get many prayers answered even when they’re trying to be helpful to their fellow man and loving, so do not give up on God if its hard to know if he is there.
