Celebrate avoiding sin!

I’m proud of Alcoholic’s Anonymous peeps when they go days, weeks or years without drinking. Drinking is not a sin, but becomes a sin when you abuse it or cause troubles on it. So these long streaks where AA members do not drink are great accomplishments. If you go 2 years and stumble on a drink, don’t beat yourself up, that was 2 years man! Good on you for trying, now ask Jesus for forgiveness and try again.

See the devil’s gonna say the opposite,”Oh man…. Dude, you almost beat me, you almost took it all the way til you died not sinning. Now you’ll never win, so might as well sin all you can.” He does this. Never look at your avoiding sin slip ups as saying you’ll never win. Look to the cross where Jesus already won so you don’t have to. We try and win our battles, we’ll fail here and there. Thankfully Jesus won the war.

You went 10 years without saying a curse word then you said one because Joe Biden is selling your freedoms out to Iran and China? No big, ask Jesus for forgiveness. Ten years is a long time to go without sinning in that manner! We sin all the time in ways we don’t even know. So ask for forgiveness in sins like that. There’s no such thing as becoming a Christian that does not sin at all. We just become Christians that do not willfully sin in things we know are sin. So never get down if you stumbled on a streak, just ask Jesus for forgiveness and try again. Jesus is with us forever. He’s very patient and loving to us.
