Debunking a Carl Sagan Video

I was going to sit down and line item a Carl Sagan video, but he operates on the wrong premise right off the bat:

As soon as he opens his mouth at :25 he epouses a fallacy that we WANT TO BE SPECIAL, no…. Not at all. God let me know he was real without me even looking for him proving

Romans 10:20 true: And Isaiah is even bolder when he says, “I was found by those who were not looking for me; I appeared to those who were not asking for me.”

The first thing Carl Sagan says is erroneous, maybe it was something he thinks, but not everyone WANT TO MAKE THEMSELVES SPECIAL. We are special, and it takes discovery and faith in love to realize that each one of us is special. Lots of us just want to chill, play games, learn about the universe. If you want to be special, want to be pomp, then you end up like Carl Sagan, up there trying to act like he’s special but not knowing what he’s talking about… See, it is truly the psychology of Carl Sagan the person himself showing up at :25. Because Carl wants to be special, he wants to be adored and worshiped, he must tear down the God that’s in his way of being worshiped. No one is going to worship a man, let alone a pompous man who openly declares he wants to be thought of as special if we have a God of Love who lived a life of a humble man that only helped people and shared in our sufferings. We have the God of the universe to worship, Carl. You ain’t anything but a guy who opens up with,”I want to be special!” Most of us don’t share that want. Most of us just want to play games, have fun, make friends and learn about the universe. It’s very telling that Carl opens up with,”I WANT TO BE SPECIAL! SO GOD CAN’T EXIST! HE GETS IN MY WAY OF PEOPLE WORSHIPPING ME!” That’s what he means, but he may not even know it, people may not know it, but that’s the very declaration of Carl’s saying… Since most people… Do not have the desire to want to be special… Most people just want to have fun and have friends. To open with openly declaring he wants to be special and superior to others, that’s quite messed up.

51 When he says not be believe something we want to be true…. That makes sense until you realize there’s no other option that makes sense for eternity… I actually was talking to an atheist friend about this the other day:

I know you though, you’re honest and true to yourself. Your words bely you in your writings here if I didn’t know you already. You have a soul that’s in line with the ways of goodness and love. You have a soul that would really jam out with the ability to alter reality at a whim, yet at the same time, due to your honesty, you don’t want to let yourself fall into a trap of wanting that to be true. I actually understand this and this makes you even MORE honest.

For every answer you would give me to the above questions, I can find Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, etc, who would each have their own solutions. Which of them should I trust?

The ones who love and who’s philosophical code is to tell the truth. The Muslim religion allows them to lie & their founder was a conqueror who married a 6 year old. I don’t see much love in a religion that’s about conquest and conquering others. The multiple pantheon religions are easily invalidated because if all their gods had near infinite powers, the god war would be over instantly when one realizes that any of the other whimsical gods could will him out of existence at any time so he would will them all out of existence. The pantheon argument is not mine, but that of academia. Obviously idols made up for the cause of theater as the Greeks gave their gods powers in stage plays, well that’s pretty fake(but could make for a funny video game plot, the god who only gets powers as his writer invents them…). There have been tons of people who have invented their own god, but due to being it an invention and not real, it is an idol. When you invent an idol, you place it above love. When you have anything more important than love, you will sell your fellow man and soul sista out for it. If it’s money, your family disintegrates in inheritance battles. If it is power, you invade countries for land. Place fame above love and you end up being like Metallica who kicked out a founding member early on that funded them. Any god you invent, can think of other than love ends up being an idol that you’d hurt and harm your fellow man to get. If the guy in charge of eternity does not love us, if the guy in charge of eternity is not love, then it really doesn’t matter this way or that, it will end up being hell because you’ll be exploited just as much as you exploit others. It’s sort of a desperate gambit to really bank on God being love, but it’s the only way Heaven can even possibly exist.

Remember, I wasn’t seeking God when he let me know he is real, it was just an awesome bonus to find out I get to live forever! I had no bias to look for God either my bro man. When people asked me what I thought about religion, I told em,”I think you should ask a religious leader, which I am not, so do not ask me.” When I was eleven, I told God,”You’re awesome, you’re love, your a reason man should all be cool with each other, I’d serve you diligently if I knew you existed, but since I doubt, how can I tell anyone? My own lack of faith might get them.” I actually didn’t go to church basically ever for fifteen years after that til God let me know he existed. I wasn’t looking for him, I had no biases to seek him either like you espouse.

Conclusion: At this point I was going to line item Carl Sagan’s points one by one, but he’s already off track and I have better things to do with my time. You can reply to this comment if you wish and I’ll address you personally. I can answer any atheist accusation of God, I’ve debunked em all, there’s always logic errors in them and I will talk in things you understand on Earth. I’m an advanced theologian respected by even liberals, the most beloved of the entire social media site Reddit… So you’ll be talking with someone in the know if you engage me with comments. There’s no point line iteming everything Sagan said in his logic errors, he’s dead. I’ll help you out personally though.

Remember: Love is the way. Love is eternal. I wouldn’t be preaching about Jesus if I didn’t know he existed for an absolute fact. I can even prove he exists

[Not linking video because I didn’t go through the whole thing. He opens up with failed emotional premises of how he thinks people operate, but they’re just how he operates. You can’t ground a proof in something of feelings, let alone feelings one person holds that others don’t. If you want to contact me and talk about things: goodnewsjimdotcom [at] gmail.com, no one seems to use wordpress comments]
