I love both Catholic and Protestant faith. The ways of worshiping may be different and disputed, but the same one God of Love is worshiped. We follow Jesus. Jesus forgives our sins and changes us to saints. In this fallen world even those of us who want to do good often do fail and sin even when we follow Jesus. Jesus forgives us. It is the key that we all want to help our fellow man, work for them, lift them out of poverty, educate them, inspire them, love them that makes us all Christian. How do you love someone? For each person it may be different. One may like ice cream, another may be diabetic. Lets get out there, help everyone we can. Let us be servants of all for we serve Jesus and God made us all in his image.
In 313 AD Constantine declared Christianity the official state religion of Rome. The problem arose tho with details… People at the time, even more uneducated of the masses we have today, had trouble with scripture. We know today it is most important to live out your religion, and not just know about God.
James1:22 Do not deceive yourselves by just listening to his word; instead, put it into practice. 23 If you listen to the word, but do not put it into practice you are like people who look in a mirror and see themselves as they are. 24 They take a good look at themselves and then go away and at once forget what they look like. 25 But if you look closely into the perfect law that sets people free, and keep on paying attention to it and do not simply listen and then forget it, but put it into practice—you will be blessed by God in what you do.
All the details of what incense to burn, how to collect alms for the poor, where to arrange seating, what hymns to sing… Those are all irrelevant if you’re not putting your faith into action in life by helping others by being the servant of all that Jesus wants us to be. Once you help others and free their time, they have more time to make friends with you. Once they’re friends with you and see there is a way to go out and help others, they really get receptive of the hook of Jesus. Everyone sees the corrupt world and how everyone wants to control and be greedy… So when they see people being nice just because Jesus says to do it, they like that, they like Jesus. Go out and love everyone, not condemn, go out and help everyone you can, and celebrate Jesus Christ and the gathering of knowledge and reforms we’ve learned over the past 2000+ years.
