Look I know God is real. I just do. Trust me. He sends dozens of supernatural miracles my way, some of which you can read at www.goodnewsjim.com. He sends me miracles that are hard to explain and edge case so I don’t document them on the web. He tells me out of control funny, trolly jokes sometimes. He guides me in my day. He guides me in my Bible study. And I’m pretty sure he guided me on the title of this article on my way home from the gym.
I feel like I could do a really good job explaining how awesome God is on my own, for God does so many awesome things, but hey, I’ll pray right now,
“God, help me write this article. I want people so super stoked every day. I want people to be the reverse of depressed. I know they would be if they knew the truth of living forever. Good has triumphed over evil, and love is stronger than death. If they only knew you a fraction of how I know you, everyone would be stoked about living. Help me convey that here.”
I don’t just know that God is real. I know the Bible is legit. Go read it! Read it much or a little every day, but read it every day for it is our daily bread. Read the Bible, and respected spiritual writers every day for you to get your spiritual bodies nourished.
So the Bible is legit, and we read that God made the universe and everything in it. Thanks to God, there’s a lot of awesome stuff in the universe. If anyone had a single moment of enjoyment from the whole thing, they have God to thank. If our life is terrible now, well God will give us a greater life in the next world.
“But many who now are first will be last, and many who now are last will be first.”
Matthew 19:30 (GNT).
Some people think, “Oh, I can never get ahead in life, because of <insert random physical or mental issue.>” Trust me when I say these are overblown in our mind. You should not think, “How big is my problem.” Think, “My God is bigger than my problem!”
For like over a decade I thought I wouldn’t be able to find a woman because I have mild grade psoriasis. Well, one thing about that is that minor psychosis led me to overcompensate and be some next level try hard in athletics and education. But really, it was overblown. Lots of women don’t care if your skin is a little rough. Some ladies think it adds to a dude’s already natural ruggedness. I even dated for years the most attractive woman I ever saw in person, and when she found out I had psoriasis, she totally didn’t care.
Being accepted by a woman who loved me instantly got me over my overblown problem. Now I think, “Yo, if a lady doesn’t like me because of my skin, it just wasn’t meant to be.” And God has everything to do with, “Meant to be” stuff. So pray for a spouse if you don’t have one. Don’t let a day go by that you don’t remind God at least on one occasion about it. God likes to be reminded. Don’t turn it into nagging; be persistent, respectful, and patient. Remember Abraham believed in God’s promises and he didn’t have a kid until 99, but then he lived to 175! So he did get to enjoy his kid’s lives. Remember even Joshua, Moses, and Caleb lived to be very old, and were strong like a young man their entire lives! It is really good to be on God’s good side. So God loves us all, but loves us too much to leave us as is. You want on God’s good side, you accept Jesus. Try and be good and loving always. Read the Bible to learn more about being good and loving. Have faith. Try and be honest. Follow the teachings of Jesus and value love above all else, and boom, you obtained God’s favor. It doesn’t matter how evil or jerkish you’ve been in the past, once you have Jesus on your side, you start stoking God. It may take years to clean up your act. A lot of people don’t even know stuff they do is evil early in their walk with Jesus. The key is to put the effort into trying and following Jesus, and you’ll have God as a friend. Clean up your sins as you find them.
Having God as a friend is the best!!! Look, when we die, if we have Jesus and therefore God as a friend, we will live forever in paradise. Scripture describes Heaven as extremely satisfying. You can piece scripture together and see that Heaven will be better than anything we can personally ask for. You can wish for anything. Pray for any reality you want. Heaven will be better and more satisfying for you than you can ask for. This is because God knows what we want more than we even know!

“What no one ever saw or heard,
what no one ever thought could happen,
is the very thing God prepared for those who love him.”

Ok, God can give us anything. Literally, God can give us anything now. He’s probably not going to make a giant ice slide off Mount Everest if we ask him. He’s probably not going to build a land bridge to Hawaii. But you can ask Him for anything anyway. He does give us a lot of stuff. That is why I recommended praying for a spouse earlier. Forget your hangups. Hit the gym, and pray daily for what you want in a spouse, and figure God is the one who will make it happen. That gives great confidence! But even more than a spouse, we should be praying others are healed, the poor are fed, and good government for the people. If we tell God that our own personal prayers for ourselves are outweighed by more important prayers for others, you stoke God.
“If you do not obey the law, God will find your prayers too hateful to hear.”
Proverbs 28:9 (GNT).
So here’s the thing, “God is gonna make Heaven and the New Earth awesome! God can answer any prayer you ask Him. He’s answered lots of my prayers that coincidence had no possibility.” So God can give us stuff. God can help us. God can remove frustration. But even better than that is God’s friendship alone.
God’s friendship is better than anything He can give us and He can give us anything!!! Literally think of anything you want, real or imagined. Then realize God’s friendship is better. God has been through a lot of terrible stuff. People, demons and the devil have rejected Him for millennia. He still sticks with his people because God so loved the world that He even gave his son Jesus to us. Jesus Himself led a life where He was not out to serve Himself,
“For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not die but have eternal life.”
John 3:16 (GNT).
God made you. Everything God makes is awesome. Therefore logically: You’re awesome. Have faith in God. Trust in Jesus. Jesus is truth. He won’t ever lie to you. Read your Bible. Pray like a hero. Be good and loving to all. Encourage everyone you can. Open doors, tip well, give everyone the time of day. Make friends. And if people think you’re cool for who you are because of Jesus, tell them God made them, and everything God makes is awesome. Whether the conversation goes well or not, you can conclude it by saying “God Bless.” Those who like to bless get blessed even more. You’re awesome, you should be blessed. I wish blessings upon you and your family. Trust in your Creator and Savior. Praise Jesus. Jesus is LORD!
