My views on Monetary Wealth

Ecclesiastes 9:13 There is something else I saw, a good example of how wisdom is regarded in this world. 14 There was a little town without many people in it. A powerful king attacked it. He surrounded it and prepared to break through the walls. 15 Someone lived there who was poor, but so clever that he could have saved the town. But no one thought about him.

I’ve never been much for wanting to get wealthy once I have found God. Even before I found God, I ran by Dick Dale surfer code that money ain’t worth anything, just keep peaceful and avoid war and totalitarianism. We know friendship is more valuable than the stuff your friends have. If you go over someone’s house you don’t like because you want to drink their beer, watch their movies, and play their games, then you’re a jerk and totally uncool. Truly a friend is worth more than their stuff and it doesn’t take a wise man to know this. Wisdom is found when you apply this to God though. God is more powerful than a genie and unlike a genie God is actually real. God can give you anything you ask for, and while selfless prayers are best, you can also ask for selfish things. This being said, we can apply the same rules to God as we do for friends since Jesus himself calls those who follow the spirit of love friends. Since the friend is greater than the stuff the friend can give you, and God can give you literally anything you imagine or beyond your imagination, then God’s friendship is greater than anything. A homeless bum on the street who worships Jesus has more than all the billionaires who ever lived who reject the ways of love for greed. This said, I am seeing wisdom in Ecclesiastes, maybe it is time to stack the bills… Not because I myself care about money, but because if I had money, more people would listen to me that Jesus loves them and there is more to love than you see. Have a good Good Friday. Our Lord Jesus bore so much pain for hours that we could not bear for a moment because he loves you so much. Remember you’re loved, and love others even in the face of hate. Jesus is LORD!
