Jesus was able to avoid sinning, but he didn’t go,”What is your guys problem that you can’t do the same?”

Jesus never sinned. He calls us to refrain from sinning too. But just because Super Holy Jesus was able to live without doing any evil perfectly doesn’t mean he thinks any less of us guys and gals who can’t do the same. Jesus forgives us of sin when we do it.

We should be like Jesus too in this regard also. Sure, we might be excited that we get rid of a wilful sin. We might even get excited that we get rid of all known willful sins in our life. Yet we should not look down on people with less ability to resist sin. We should especially not expect anything from people who do not have any faith in Jesus.

Jesus is super cool in that he forgives us. Jesus is cool that he doesn’t think less of us for failing. He forgives us! Praise Jesus for having great grace to forgive us. May we be ready to forgive readily. May we inspire others to avoid the evils of sin, but not be derogatory or slanderous if people fail and sin. Everyone needs encouragement. You’d be surprised at who can turn from vile sinner to tremendous saint. The power of Jesus is amazing. Do not give up on anyone.

Mark2:1A few days later Jesus went back to Capernaum, and the news spread that he was at home. So many people came together that there was no room left, not even out in front of the door. Jesus was preaching the message to them when four men arrived, carrying a paralyzed man to Jesus. Because of the crowd, however, they could not get the man to him. So they made a hole in the roof right above the place where Jesus was. When they had made an opening, they let the man down, lying on his mat. Seeing how much faith they had, Jesus said to the paralyzed man, “My son, your sins are forgiven. Some teachers of the Law who were sitting there thought to themselves, “How does he dare talk like this? This is blasphemy! God is the only one who can forgive sins! At once Jesus knew what they were thinking, so he said to them, “Why do you think such things? Is it easier to say to this paralyzed man, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up, pick up your mat, and walk’? 10 I will prove to you, then, that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So he said to the paralyzed man, 11 “I tell you, get up, pick up your mat, and go home! 12 While they all watched, the man got up, picked up his mat, and hurried away. They were all completely amazed and praised God, saying, “We have never seen anything like this!”
