Powerful Evangelism Tactics for 2021 America: Part I

Hello, things have changed in America since I last posted Online Evangelism Tactics in 2012: https://fatherspiritson.com/2012/12/online-evangelism-tactics/ There is much more censorship of Christians and our spiritual brothers of the Jewish Faith whom Jesus Christ was and is and evermore shall be. The country’s change to this point is easy to see, but boring and irrelevant to the response we as Christians must have in response to this knowledge. We cannot simply post on social media our Bible study anymore if none of our posts ever get seen by anyone. We must make a change in tactics in order to let people know about Jesus Christ.

The evils of censorship of those of faith are clearly seen in 1940s Europe. Censorship is evil. Social media could easily have a community based moderation where if you’re friends ignore people, you could ignore them too and a system set up for that. Big Tech knows this, but they choose to control what people say. Big Tech wants to appease advertisers, appease political payola, and push their own personal opinion . Censorship is evil, and it is even more evil when it tries to silence the Word of God and Bible Study. People need to learn that love is the way and to avoid doing evil while Big Tech and Social Media stand in the way by censorship. Censorship of Christians is of the devil. Now lets figure out how to trample the devil in this trick he’s attempting to pull again.

Whenever I get banned in one place, I move to another. Just like when Jesus told his disciples that if they are rejected in one town to go to the next. We should too. I’ll give scripture and examples of this.

Matthew 10:13 If the people in that house welcome you, let your greeting of peace remain; but if they do not welcome you, then take back your greeting. 14 And if some home or town will not welcome you or listen to you, then leave that place and shake the dust off your feet. 15I assure you that on the Judgment Day God will show more mercy to the people of Sodom and Gomorrah than to the people of that town! -Good News Translation

I started my first seven years of evangelism arguing people to the faith. I knew there were people who didn’t believe Jesus existed, but if he did he’s the Messiah and miracle worker. Other people know Jesus existed, but claim he did no miracles. My theory was that if I argued these two people together, they’d convince themselves God is real and Jesus is the Son of God. Arguing against many people did not work out, they’d keep covering for each other with logical inconsistencies they ignore. Also when three people talk, each expect to say an equal amount so you have 1/3 the discussion time or you seem desperate and windy. So arguing against multiple people was a failure. And arguing against a single person was also a failure, but I learned from both of them. Let me explain:

I got so good at arguing vs one person that I could pin people at logical inconsistencies early in the argument. I noticed something… They knew their position did not hold water and I won the argument so they should learn something about the world they didn’t know, right? Wrong. They would try and change the subject. Or they’d say,”No one can know anything: Solipsism” It is easy to prove that we can know something, because the conversation would not be words we understand but meaningless babble… But saying that, you conceded to change the subject after you already won the argument. For them to not want to learn, but to do a dirty sand in the eyes style attack let me learn that they just wanted to win the argument. I actually discovered this before scientists understood this and it became common scientific knowledge. People who argue with you do not want to learn. The more you argue, the more they are pushed away from your position. I posted about this. My article from about 2015 or earlier: https://old.reddit.com/r/Christianity/comments/3ho2sy/its_possible_to_get_riled_up_and_anxious/

Here is a link to the scientific study that came out about 2 years later that found out I was correct: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/pops.12331 It became a famous study on the Internet since everyone on the Internet seems to have some sort of cause they want to change other’s minds on. We have a God sized hole in our hearts. If we do not fill it with Jesus, we still have a longing desire to have purpose and meaning and tell the world about something… This is the burning desire God puts in us to fulfill the Great Commission and Spread the Word of Jesus, but corrupted in different degrees.

Anyway, God gave me some smarts, and this isn’t the first time I knew stuff before science discovered it, won’t be the last, and I know some stuff now too. I could boast about how much intelligence God did bless me with, but people will think I am boasting about myself and not my Creator. I am smart enough to ask for a large fraction of the wisdom Solomon has, because growing up I didn’t have great common sense. To boot, creative people are always thinking about their arts and scripts and are absent minded, which isn’t great when operating a chainsaw and such. I tell people I’m the world’s dumbest smart guy because I do stupid stuff because my mind is on different projects all day long. It is cool to be smart and educated, but if you’re smart and educated without Jesus.

Education without values, as useful as it is, seems rather to make man a more clever devil. The task of the modern educator is not to cut down jungles, but to irrigate deserts.” -CS. Lewis on Education

So in arguing with people for 7 years after I became a Christian, I am not sure I helped anyone’s faith, but my own. For I accrued very solid and unassailable theology from it. I hear liberal say,”What I know conflicts with what I know. Well thankfully we can all live with some bit of cognitive dissonance.” Yet, I have none. I have the solid foundation of Jesus. I am not saying there is no theology that I do not know. Even the Pope does not know everything of God and the wisdom of the Bible. A working class man might see something in the Bible that only a man of his particular skill set can see at the angle of his experience. A very educated scientist might read something no one before knew because of modern knowledge.

For example, of something a scientist might know that no one else ever knew before I like to emphasize how important the Book of Judges is when it comes to Samson. We all know the story of Sampson, strongest man to have lived or ever will live much like Solomon was the wisest person to have lived or ever will live. We also know Sampson had a weakness for very attractive women. He wanted to marry a woman instantly on first sight even though she was of a people who did not like the Israelites as he was. He slept with a prostitute. He didn’t break up with his later wife Delilah despite him knowing she was trying to kill him because she was attractive. Sampson had a real urge in his loins. Many theologians would try and say this is a weakness of him to sin, but it was not. It was actually a strength of God to put a secret in the Bible we could not know until we as humanity gained the knowledge to understand it.

Proverbs 30:10 Never criticize servants to their master. You will be cursed and suffer for it.

-Good News Translation

And this urge we scientists know as testosterone, and the stronger you are, the more you have it by and large. And if you exercise you get more testosterone. Testosterone doesn’t just give you strength, it makes your desire for the opposite sex greater, pleasure more intense, and your food to taste better. You can even get by on an hour or two sleep with it because you become so passionate. So while the writers of Judges did not know the link between strength and passion, they still wrote it down for future humans to understand that the Bible really is legit! It is like how writers wrote down prophecies often likely without knowing they were one, because they were guided by the Holy Spirit.

Proverbs 25:2 We honor God for what he conceals; we honor kings for what they explain.-Good News Translation

Also, remember how I said I pray for a large fraction of the wisdom of Solomon. I also pray for a large fraction of the passion and desire of Sampson, and let me tell you, my food tastes better, everything feels better in ways you wouldn’t believe unless you prayed for that yourself. So do that, and exercise, drop drugs, drop nicotine, drop alcohol, don’t over eat, for all of that hurts your stuff downstairs. If you’re under 25 yrs old and abuse your body, you’ll never fully grow to the amount you should downstairs. Let this to the reader to understand.

I say this because kids these days believe satan’s lies that self destruction is cool, but it is not. Self destruction brings you down and you need to bring others down to get up on your feet. As Christians, we should be compassionate even to those who never learn how to get it together and thank God for the Grace that we could be given a chance to see the truth. Always help everyone you can. Contrasting living a self destructive life: If you lead a life of constantly building and improving yourself and the world around you, you can lift others up easier. When you die and leave what you built and the world a better place, this too helps people. Thank Jesus Christ for the Gospel that we can be forgiven for our past mistakes and move towards God as we help people and share Jesus with others. For the biggest sinner who ever lived that came to Jesus has nothing held against him. In fact he or she is in no way shape or form disqualified from becoming the greatest saint in Heaven. So please, accept Jesus, preach Jesus, avoid sin, read your Bible, talk to God, and help everyone you can. Life is too short to fall for the lies of the devil and be selfish, everyone feels empty after the pleasure of sin is gone or even during it. Look to that emptiness and do not feel despair, instead fill yourself with Jesus and you’ll be more whole than you could ever dream or imagine. Amen! Amen! Amen!
