Faith Club Church 22: Humility

Scripture of the Day:
Numbers 12:3 (Moses was a humble man, more humble than anyone else on earth.)

Opening:
Moses was believed to have wrote the first five books of the Bible known as the Pentateuch. Imagine how difficult it would have been for a humble man to write down Numbers 12:3. You record for all time that you are the most humble person on Earth as a record for history for your nation. A humble person could not do such a thing unless commanded by God. And that is the thing. If you try and be prideful and gain glory for yourself, you will be humbled. If you humble yourself, God may lift you up and bring you glory.

Prayer for Forgiveness:
God, you know we’ve had less than humble times. We sometimes seek to improve ourselves to make us look impressive towards others. Improving ourselves by itself is not a sin, but when we want people to look at us as great, it may be. The main thing we should see as greatness in others is love. We see God himself as the greatest then because God is love.

The desire for fame to lift up our lampstand can be sin too. If we seek to shine our lampstand on more by lifting it higher, you may shine on more, but less on each individual. In the process of seeking fame, we might even lose touch with shining the light. May we try our best to ditch the pride, and be more humble so we can do the basics of bringing people to Jesus.

Today’s Blessings:
God bless you with fulfillment. May you not think you need to get something else to feel okay now and start living. Don’t put off life until you get something because normally to get something else you got to lose something you have. If you want to wait til you graduate school to live then you lose the first half of your life. If you wait til marriage til you start living, you lose the fun times of being solo and making all your own decisions. If you wait til your kids are out of school, then you’re getting up there on years. If you wait til you have an awesome job, maybe you never get an awesome job… etc etc etc.

Know you’re allowed to start living now. Live every moment. Pray to God continually. If you talk to God a lot, even waiting can produce joy and hopeful anticipation

Prayer Cues:
Pray more people find Jesus. Pray they read their Bible. Pray they Pray. Pray they have hope and joy.

Pray for the sick and hurt to get cured. Pray people are protected that people do not get sick and hurt.

Pray that the starving poor get fed so no one goes hungry.

Pray people see that they should live their lives to help the sick and poor instead of just themselves.

Luke9:26 “If you are ashamed of me and my teaching, then the Son of Man will be ashamed of you when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.” Jesus warns about being ashamed of him. So be bold about God! God things matter more than even perceived social concerns.
