I’m a dude who knows God is real. He wants us all to love each other. Basically try and come out on the right foot with everyone and try to be friends. You don’t need to be friends with everyone. Even if you’re wronged by someone, at least make sure they have the basics to living: Food,Water,Shelter,Education.
Jesus loves you very very much. Jesus loves you more than you know even if you know this. We’re going to be Bros and Sisters to Jesus in Heaven, and the whole congregation of Heaven will be a bunch of friends. I think one of the challenges of Heaven might be,”Who do we spend our time with for each day?” but thankfully there will be an eternity of days to spend with them. Every moment of Heaven will be better then your best moment on Earth.
So accept Jesus, avoid sin, and be good and loving to all. Even if you don’t have a ton of faith, a little faith in God and being good and loving has been praised by Jesus.
We don’t have to rush others’ spiritual growth in Jesus. (self.Christianity)
Some people find the immediate calling to a life with Jesus overwhelming and a bit intimidating. We as the church know how important it is to grow spiritually so we try and fast track people to growth. This rushing into growth can put off new believers. Also the spiritual bread of the Bible is better when someone is hungry for it.
I think today, you hear from some people that you need to read your Bible, and study hard. But there have been many Christians of the past who were illiterate and only got their spiritual word from the uncommon times a clergy would give it to them. They had to be good and loving the best they can without a full picture of scripture.
I think some people can start out like this today. When someone says to have some faith in Jesus, you should accept him as your savior. In response to this calling, start out by being a little more good and loving to those around you. Reading the Bible and praying is important to growing spiritually. But if your faith is too weak to invest heavily at first, at least hold onto Jesus, and be good and loving to all. It may be later when you get curious to read scripture. Or it may be later when you get drawn into a selfless prayer life.
My prayer is that your faith improves, and that someday that you improve others’ faith too.
If we can learn to live on less, we can give more to the poor.
God loves you. And don’t you forget it.
Things can go great or go horrible, but that doesn’t change God. God is out for your best. Always trust in him for the long haul. With Jesus, we can get paradise after we live our life and pass on. We should not hurry to the next life, but live as we can in love.
Some people like to think their worth is determined on how much stuff they have, but that is an illusion of worth. Our lives are made up of how much we love and not how much money and stuff we have. So if you’re one of the forgotten grads or someone with a lot of debt who can’t get a job and start your life, know that God values you a lot and be good despite life being tough.
The last will be first and the first will be last. If you actually have it good in this life, you should be seriously considering some charity or service to make yourself a bit lower to help others up. We’re called to be servants and Jesus himself was the ultimate servant as an example for us.
We’re not guaranteed a cross of our own to bear, but it often happens. A person who suffers for doing good is highly blessed in the next life. Its hard to say why anyone suffers and that is a topic for another conversation. Just know if you go through suffering, it doesn’t mean God is against you. God loves us all. God loves you.
Jesus won the war against sin, evil, hell, the devil and death when Jesus took the cross and came back to life. Things need time to play out though. Part of the proof of the power of Jesus is how people change their lives and become better people than they once were. Jesus is like a giant call to people who would otherwise be bad,”Hey, why not be good? Repent of evil, and you’re welcome in the kingdom of the good God.” There’s billions of Christians now today. When Jesus just started out, he was calling people along his travels, and he didn’t have many followers to start. At one time, his family even questioned what he was doing. And his own town rejected him because they thought they knew him growing up. Look how far the spirituality of Jesus has spread.
He isn’t too busy to give you a non stop personal audience. Pray through him and with him to the Father. And know he loves you. He loves you enough that he died hoping you’d be his friend.
I know Jesus is real. My prayer is that you get more faith in him and know you’re loved.
