Spiritual Milk: We should be religions fanatics

We should love everyone and be good to everyone. Even if people don’t come off on the right foot for us, we should love them like they’ve been a lifelong dear friend. We should work dedicatedly in whatever job we can find. Then once we get out of debt and on our feet, we should seek to help the poor. People are starving to death now, and if enough of us become religious fanatics we can give our all to the poor… our all to Jesus.

Now, no matter how hard we work and toil, no matter how much we serve and help, nothing can come close to repaying for the cross. Thank you Jesus for being the good God who actually deserves worship and asks us to give love to others.

Jesus is LORD of everything. He is the ruler of Heaven, Earth and even Hell.

Some people think that they can serve evil beings to get a good place in hell. But they’ve been lied to by the king of liars. There are no good places in hell, and evil beings are not in charge of hell.

If you want a good place in the afterlife, abandon any evil you’ve done, and be good and loving and honest always. This is the truth. Jesus is the truth. Jesus is LORD of all. Jesus forgives even the vilest offender. Don’t think that you’ve done too much evil to be forgiven. Jesus forgives us all. Accept him, and be good and loving always. He may make you great in this life and the next.

Jesus didn’t give us the golden rule. He gave us something far more powerful.

John 15:12 GNT My(Jesus’) commandment is this: love one another, just as I love you.

We know Jesus loves us more than any mother has loved her child. We’re called to love others like Jesus! This is a difficult commandment because it is really asking us to love others MUCH MORE than we love ourselves. What we take from this is to treat others better than we want treated. We should then work harder than we want to satisfy ourselves so we can help others more. It makes life so much more difficult to live like Jesus calls us. We need to push ourselves the best we can without burning out to help others. No early retirement, no going through the motions: Working, volunteering and helping others with all we have. We should pour ourselves out like a sacrifice to others just as Jesus did. Jesus died for us, so we should live for him.

Jesus is love. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.

God is love and God is life. I don’t truly feel like I’m living well unless I’m sharing love with others. When being around friends and family, I feel truly alive. Jesus is love. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. The truth is that the way to live is to love.

Service to Jesus might have us working hard to help the poor more, and in that way we’re dying to self. We live for Jesus because Jesus died for us. There will be much love in Heaven, so we don’t need a bucket list of experiences down here on Earth. It is okay to just serve and help until we die if you have the faith for it.

Psalm 132: A king in the line of David will always rule.

Psalm 132:1 Lord, do not forget David and all the hardships he endured. 2 Remember, Lord, what he promised, the vow he made to you, the Mighty God of Jacob: 3 “I will not go home or go to bed; 4 I will not rest or sleep, 5 until I provide a place for the Lord, a home for the Mighty God of Jacob.” 6 In Bethlehem we heard about the Covenant Box, and we found it in the fields of Jearim. 7 We said, “Let us go to the Lord’s house; let us worship before his throne.” 8 Come to the Temple, Lord, with the Covenant Box, the symbol of your power, and stay here forever. 9 May your priests do always what is right; may your people shout for joy! 10 You made a promise to your servant David; do not reject your chosen king, Lord. 11 You made a solemn promise to David— a promise you will not take back: “I will make one of your sons king, and he will rule after you. 12 If your sons are true to my covenant and to the commands I give them, their sons, also, will succeed you for all time as kings.” 13 The Lord has chosen Zion; he wants to make it his home: 14 “This is where I will live forever; this is where I want to rule. 15 I will richly provide Zion with all she needs; I will satisfy her poor with food. 16 I will bless her priests in all they do, and her people will sing and shout for joy. 17 Here I will make one of David’s descendants a great king; here I will preserve the rule of my chosen king. 18 I will cover his enemies with shame, but his kingdom will prosper and flourish.”

Jesus is in the line of David, in the line of Judah, Boaz, Ruth. I’m not sure why anyone would want to be an enemy of Jesus? Jesus is good all the time. Jesus never did anything wrong. He is loving always, and you’ll never find a better bro.

For someone to be an enemy of Jesus Christ fully knowing of his tremendous goodness… that enemy has to be really evil. Only evil people pay back good with evil. Only evil beings are so self centered that they have no love for friends. It is incredibly dumb to be selfish and evil. If people don’t want to stop being evil in light of God’s love and goodness, what hope is there for them? There is no one who saves apart from Jesus.

If you’re breathing, Jesus can forgive your sins. No matter how bad you’ve been, God loves you. So be like the prodigal and return to your Father an be good and loving from now on.
