So you’ve read about the man Jesus and you think he is great. Jesus loves you and you love him, but how do you want to show it? We learn in Matthew 25 that giving to the poor or helping the unfortunate is the same as helping Jesus out in that situation. So lets try and get our life in order by educating ourselves to the point of gainful employment, work a moral job, then live a frugal life so we have more to donate. https://www.reddit.com/r/Christianity/comments/3b5e9t/educate_yourself_always_work_a_moral_job_live_a/? Proverbs 19:17 GNT http://www.biblestudytools.com/gnt/proverbs/19-17.html 17 When you give to the poor, it is like lending to the Lord, and the Lord will pay you back.
What can money buy anyway? It can’t buy things that truly fulfill like a long life, love, protection in time of misfortune, but God can easily pay back in those regards. God can give you anything, and in Heaven, we’ll have glorious bodies and amazing things will happen often. We’ll not cease to be amazed and fulfilled in Heaven. Wouldn’t it be great if we could use something as pointless as money and get a reward in Heaven?
I’m not saying that as the only reason to give, and people are want to judge my motives. I just want to point out that if you really like things in this world that you have some desire for money, I’m telling you greater things are to be gained if you help the poor some. Put some hate on your money as not the answer to fulfillment. Put some love into God. Money is deceptive that it can turn into a tool for exploiting others, and that temptation remains.
Hate money by working hard for it and giving it away, but not before sustaining yourself some. We don’t want to become part of the problem by giving everything we have to live on away. I always think if something is a tool by which I can make more revenue, I consider it a possibly good purchase. But if something is a pointless luxury, I consider helping others instead.
I pray you get a heart for helping others if you don’t already have one.
I also pray your faith in Jesus is increased.
God bless you and lets work as a team to help everyone we can.
