Why Does God Use People to Preach?

Hello, my name is James Sager and I am a follower of Jesus Christ. I’m going to explain to you in this article why God uses people to preach about him. I’ll explain this quickly first then get into details later. God is a God who judges and separates good from evil. When you die, you’ll sit with God and review your entire life with him. All of your thoughts, words and actions will be replayed, and you may be given a chance to justify why you did the things you did to God. Hearing the Good News preached to you(including this very article) causes you to think about God and maybe react. These thoughts and reactions are why God wants people to preach the Good News to others. He will bring your thoughts and reactions to judgment day to determine if you’re innocent or guilty. If you want to spend eternity with love and apart from suffering, you need to accept Jesus as your savior and repent of the evil of sin. Accepting Jesus is easy, just pray to God that you accept him. Jesus suffered and died for your sins such that you can receive the free gift of Heaven and a connection(communion) with God. Repenting of sin takes a bit of work, not only do most of us stumble from time to time, but there are sins we don’t even know we’re committing. So if you’re a first time believer, accept Jesus, and read the Bible to learn about God. I recommend the Good News Bible for God recommended the Good News Bible to me.

Read the Good News Bible Online I recommend book marking the Bible. The Bible holds absolute truth about God that you won’t find anywhere else in the world.

I’ll reiterate what I just said. God uses people to share his message with others because he wants to record their thoughts and reactions to accuse or acquit them on judgment day. Your very thoughts on this article are being recorded by God. God records everything you do, but if you ask him for forgiveness of your sins, he not only forgives your sins, he also forgets them too. Heb 8:12I will forgive their sins and will no longer remember their wrongs. God is merciful, but he is to be feared and respected. Some people don’t put much thought into God in their daily lives. They need someone to tell them about him before they think about him. This preaching puts their thoughts on God. Hopefully you have a glimpse of why God may want to use people to spread his Good News around the world.

Let us examine a piece of scripture that Paul wrote, and I like to echo. It brings light to the methodology that God uses his followers to preach: 1 Corinthians 1:17 Christ did not send me to baptize. He sent me to tell the Good News, and to tell it without using the language of human wisdom, in order to make sure that Christ’s death on the cross is not robbed of its power. 18 For the message about Christ’s death on the cross is nonsense to those who are being lost; but for us who are being saved it is God’s power. 19 The scripture says, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and set aside the understanding of the scholars.” 20 So then, where does that leave the wise? or the scholars? or the skillful debaters of this world? God has shown that this world’s wisdom is foolishness! 21 For God in his wisdom made it impossible for people to know him by means of their own wisdom. Instead, by means of the so-called “foolish” message we preach, God decided to save those who believe. 22 Jews want miracles for proof, and Greeks look for wisdom. 23 As for us, we proclaim the crucified Christ, a message that is offensive to the Jews and nonsense to the Gentiles; 24 but for those whom God has called, both Jews and Gentiles, this message is Christ, who is the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 For what seems to be God’s foolishness is wiser than human wisdom, and what seems to be God’s weakness is stronger than human strength. 26 Now remember what you were, my friends, when God called you. From the human point of view few of you were wise or powerful or of high social standing. 27 God purposely chose what the world considers nonsense in order to shame the wise, and he chose what the world considers weak in order to shame the powerful. 28 He chose what the world looks down on and despises and thinks is nothing, in order to destroy what the world thinks is important. 29 This means that no one can boast in God’s presence. 30 But God has brought you into union with Christ Jesus, and God has made Christ to be our wisdom. By him we are put right with God; we become God’s holy people and are set free. 31 So then, as the scripture says, “Whoever wants to boast must boast of what the Lord has done.”

As per 1Corinthians 1:17; I echo Paul and I echo God. God sent me to tell the Good News of Jesus Christ. God himself spoke to me,”Good News”

As per 1Corinthians 1:18 For those who are beings saved, Christ’s death on the cross is God’s power. God turns sinners away from their sinful ways and converts them into loving saints. The fight between Good and Evil was decided for Good with Jesus’ death on the cross. Any sane person who realizes that God thought it not beneath God to temporarily give up Heavenly glory and suffer pain and death for our sake realizes that it is not something to treat lightly. Only a true fool would think light of Jesus’ sacrifice. Even if you cannot tell that God is real, you still have to think to yourself,”If he is real, he paid a great price for my sake. And he should be honored for this.” So do not ever slander God or take part in the spiteful jokes of fools. God deserves no ill will.

God’s power to convert sinners from evil to good was a secret in the Old Testament, and even the powers of darkness did not understand it until after it happened or they probably wouldn’t have been led along in God’s victory procession. God is on a massive recruitment effort to get people to repent of sin and accept Jesus. Satan is also trying to recruit. It is not a numbers game however. God doesn’t need more people saved than lost in order for the final defeat of evil. In fact the Bible says in the last days many people’s faith will fail. God is all powerful and does not derive power from the beings he shelters under his wings.

As per 1Corinthians 1:19-21 The world does not see the wisdom by which God uses people to preach his Good News. I hope this article goes a ways towards brightening your understanding to God’s wisdom. Many people do not understand why God would use people to preach the Good News when he could do it himself or etch a cross in the moon so all knew of Jesus Christ. They think any method that does not seem the most optimal is a method that God would not use, and so they say it is foolishness. God made it impossible to know him through worldly wisdom. If this scripture holds true, science will never prove God exists.

We who have heard about Jesus must believe in him. Some people who existed before Jesus was on Earth are saved, and some people who never heard of Jesus are saved, but we do not know the criteria by which God judges. We trust in God’s infinite wisdom that he is a perfect judge by which we can accept. Because God did not sin, it makes him a perfect judge. A judge with sin would not be a perfect judge because he could not condemn anyone who committed the sin the judge did or the judge would be a hypocrite. This is another reason to be thankful that Jesus committed no sin. We ought not to be concerned with every detail for every detail is masterfully dealt with by God.

There are many cosmic things that we do not understand. God’s choosing to do something in a certain way is because he is doing it the correct way. There are obvious differences between God preaching to us, and men preaching to us. There has to be a reason why God does not openly reveal himself to every person. I don’t know what the exact reason is, but we can think of many possible reasons. The reason that comes to my mind is,”If God revealed himself, people may still not believe in all of God’s power. They may then want to put God to the test.”, and we know scripture says to not put God to the test(Matthew 4:7) Finally we have Psalm 115:3,”Our God is in heaven; he does whatever he wishes.” We’re not to criticize God for his ways for his ways lead to eternal happiness without suffering with love! What we need to realize is that there is great wisdom in using human preachers perhaps precisely because it seems foolish by the world’s eyes.
