Censorship on Social Media – Father Spirit Son

You know what they say about the evils of censorship? Either you talk about it when it first pokes its evil head in, or you will soon not be able to talk about it at all. For what happens is that if a little bit of censorship is allowed here, it gets greatly expanded everywhere.

Twitter and Facebook are censoring conservative voices including Christians. The clues are all there for an average person to look at. At first, they were concerned that Trump got elected, and that they were accusing Russian Hackers of influencing the election. That is always how erosions of freedoms begin. They point to one group that is bad, then that is their beachhead. They claim Russian hackers needed to be stopped so it doesn’t sound suspicious that they are censoring,
, but their real goal was just being against conservative voices in general.

There are two actions that need to be taken immediately and this is why I’m raising awareness. One action is that everyone should be aware that Twitter and Facebook are censoring conservative voices and Christians. The other action is that maybe they should be taken to the Supreme Court to rule on the Constitutionality of breaking the first amendment.

I know Christians are being censored because I myself was censored. I was censored because I was pleased with Twitter thus far and wanted to sponsor them with some money. So I bought an ad that said ,”God is love. Jesus loves you. Everyone should love each other.” And my account got partially disabled saying my advertisement was in violation. I became shadowbanned so no one sees my tweets. My analytics was disabled for months and when it came back, it had fake numbers in it. I used to get 1-3 followers a day reliably for years, but after I was shadowbanned my followers dropped off. Instead of 1-3 followers a day, I’d go 29 days of a month with no new followers at all after Twitter censored me. I got censored on Twitter under hate speech laws for proclaiming,”God is love. Jesus loves you. Everyone should love each other.”.

I’m not the only one crying foul. News agencies have picked up on it. You can Google for Christian voices being silenced on Twitter and Facebook and find many articles examining this. And the big one is that President Trump tweeted that it is a real problem. The president cannot rule something unconstitutional though. So while he sees a problem, all he can do is raise awareness. The purpose of this article is to raise awareness too.

There is a really good chance that Twitter gave news agencies tools by which they could censor voices. There is a really good chance that mainstream news agencies became complicit in embracing the censorship tools. If this is true, you’ll see mainstream news agencies fight tooth and nail to defend censorship. For if Twitter gets sued, and it is uncovered that certain mainstream media were censoring citizens who give opinions contrary to them, it will be a very bad mark against them. Not everyone realizes the level of propaganda mainstream media pushes, but they could see if they were complicit in censorship against American Citizens. It is Orwellian that these guys may have dug themselves in a hole of being complicit with the evils of censorship so they themselves need to do anything possible to make sure people don’t know.

Anyone paying attention could have seen the dangers coming. When Zuckerberg was in front of Congress, he proposed an algorithmic censorship program. Congress was on board with it too. After all, no one is responsible for the censorship if they have a program do it. It was terrible to watch that Congressional investigation. It sounded like the beginning of the death of free speech. They keep taking our Constitutional freedoms away slowly.

Also if you’re paying attention, Twitter now has a feature that you can upgrade your account so more people see you. If you can pay money to upgrade your account, they certainly have the tools to downgrade your account.

I’ll repeat the actions that need to be taken at this time:

There might not be anything you can personally do outside of prayer. Prayer does a lot. Just being aware of this is important. We don’t want Twitter and Facebook parading around as a great social empowerment tool when they are doing the evils of censorship. It reminds me of when I played video games as a kid, and I didn’t want to take turns with a kid too young to know so I gave them an unplugged controller while I played. They don’t just want to censor Christians. They want to censor them in a way that they don’t know they’re being censored at all.

I wrote this article because if you do not stand up to censorship when it starts then it will progress everywhere. I understand Twitter bases its operation out of Ireland to dodge paying taxes to the US, but really it is a US company. It should obey the First Amendment and Freedom of Speech and Religion. Both of which it is breaking by censoring Christians.
